Dax Churches - Landes

It is believed that Saint Vincent created the Diocese of Dax in the 4th century, was its first bishop and was martyred there.
The present church, Neo- Roman style,  was rebuilt in 1893 on the ruins of other religious buildings.
The altar, a white marble sarcophagus, is the tomb of the saint.

Behind the church is the convent of the Dominican.
